I was wondering would you spend $1 on a pair of fresh water pearl earrings? With $1 shipping?

I am working on my website and trying to do some market research. I was looking to start with that as my promo to get some hits to the site and have some people gain interest. With the economy being tight I thought who wouldn’t love a small pair of earrings for a buck.
Its a private website where I blog, design, and do retail so its not where you need to enter email and cc information a zillion times. Thanks for your imput and any ideas and suggestions are welcome.
