What should I do when the company I applied for, and had an interview with, has not returned my follow-ups?

So I had an interview in May 18, 2009 and today is the 3rd of June. I sent a thank you letter on the same day, and sent another thank you/follow up letter a week and a half later. Yesterday, the 2nd of June, I called the company and they said she was in a meeting so they directed me to her voicemail and left a message. It has been a day since I called and no calls back, neither do emails.
Why won’t they call me back? I was confident with my interview, and I was prepared and did my homework. I also looked highly professional wearing a suit and all that jazz. I even presented my portfolio.
For additional information, the job I applied for was a Marketing/PR intern at this high-end celebrity hotel in New York City.

What shall I do? Should I call back and say, “Hello, I’ve been trying to reach you but you haven’t gotten back to me.” That seems rude don’t you think? I need this job, and I want this job. Would it be a good idea for me to just go there and ask for her directly? Would that seem desperate and a waste of time?

I NEED HELP!

Thank you.

Any good conservative business oweners able to help out a recent collge grad?

I’ve just graduated college with a degree in marketing, but have quickly discovered the obsticles for a WASP male in the job market. I worked my way through college and finished with a 3.1 GPA, not ideal, but I also have over 2 years of actual marketing and sales experience. I’m dedicated and honest and am not looking for a hand out but a hand up.

Please email me if interested in my resume.

Does anyone really make money filling out surveys? Why all the offers during the survey?

I just started selling AVON and my main goal is to work on my own terms and never have to go back to work for someone 8 to 5 and I would really love to be able to supplement my income by working from home but again under my own terms. Now, my AVON business is going great for me so far but again I just started so the money isn’t bling, bling, just yet. I have been looking into surveys but my question is, is there really money in surveys and why all the (free) offers? If anyone can help with survey information or any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you.

Anyone heard of Vector Point Solutions?

I received an email for employment but can’t seem to find any results. They claim to be a “company specializing in national advertising, consulting, and marketing. Our main focus is to help our customers find online solutions for their advertising and marketing programs”. So if they’re an online company why wouldn’t they be the first result returned to me when I Yahoo! search “Vector Point Solutions”? Im thinking fake.

How do I get into the Entertainment Industry?

I’m a recent graduate, and I’m interested in working in an entry-level position in the entertainment industry (specifically marketing or advertising). I have work experience in marketing, and I’ve sent out resumes and cover letters to postings found on websites … but so far I’ve only received one response.

Is it better to mail/fax my resume directly to the HR department of companies? I’m afraid my resume isn’t even read if I send it by email or submit it through their company website.
