Is Drexel University right for me?

I’m considering my major to be any of these: engineering field (software or just general), computer science, maybe a minor somewhere in mathematics, accounting, or marketing. It’s all a little hazy at the moment.

I wish to stay in the tri-state region since I’m from NJ. My top options right now are Rutgers and USP (for computer science, although I’m not too sure how good their program is for computer science). Now I’m stumbling across Drexel and it is appealing to me a lot. I’m thinking I would get in based on my stats. But about the school itself, how are the classes (particularly for the majors I mentioned), what is it like living in Philadelphia, how are the dorms, and anything else about the school would be great. I want to know if this school would suit me well (or if I would fit in well with the school).

GPA: 3.42 out of 4.0 (3.94333 weighted)
Rank: Should be between 15-20% (closer to 15)
SATs: 610 Critical Reading, 790 Math, 660 Writing
No ACTs or SAT Subject Tests. Not too many extra curriculars either.

*Is this for everyone? I received an email from Drexel saying that I’m a VIP and I received a VIP application, where theres no application fee, no essay, a quick admissions decision, and automatic scholarship consideration. Is this common and something that everyone gets? Or is this kind’ve “special”*

How do you find participants for a research survey?

I need 100 people to answer a survey but it has to be people who consider themselves frequent television watchers. How can I find 100 people willing to take a 10 question survey??

How do colleges market to existing students?

How do colleges and universities market to incoming (registered) freshmen and returning students over the course of the summer, i.e., at their non-campus addresses?
> Direct mail: What kinds of things are sent? Fornats (e.g. packages, letters or postcards) and contents/key messages (e.g., be sure to come to orientation…here’s your Campus Orientation Kit, etc.
> Email: What kinds of message are sent? Links provided to the college web site for additional detail? Is school email account used or student’s personal email account?
> Have you ever seen schools include advertising for local businesses (e.g., Bed & Bath, Pizza Hut) in any of their materials or in orientation handouts?

If you provide examples, please mention name of school. Thanks so much.
