Inferno Marketing Group.is this job legit?

well I went on craigslist to look for some job opportunities like production assistant openings and jobs like that. Then I came across a company called Inferno Marketing Group who is hiring for marketing positions. The only reason I am asking is because I have been to several other interviews for marketing groups. They said I would gain experience in event marketing, customer service, public relations, etc… and that i can also get promoted very quickly…like in as little as 6 months i can be a manager lol. And I found out that event marketing really meant standing in front of a store like walmart and target selling goods. I am a college grad and looking for a legit marketing job. can anybody tell me if this company is for real or if its another one of those supposed marketing jobs. they emailed me for an interview after i sent them my resume. I just dont want to waste my time. Thanks!
here is the website:
http://www.infernomarketing.com/
what has me worried is they asked if i can come in for an interview tomorrow, and i just sent them my resume last night. i would think a legit marketing company would analyze all their applicants and conduct interviews for their chosen few like at least a week or 2 later.

Should I change my major from Architecture to Business (Marketing emphasis)?

When I started college, I decided to major in Architecture because I had a love for drawing and building scale models. I enjoyed the drafting classes I took, but when it came to the design studio classes, I felt that’s where my weakness was, because I’m more of a technical person than a creative one. I still continued to work hard, received my associates degree, and I applied and was accepted into architecture school. The first day of school, the professor assigned us to design three structures with floor plans, elevations and 3d sketches, and to have it done in a week. The workload was just too much for me, so I ended up dropping out of the program after the first week. So after quitting school, I figured I should try to get a job. I searched all over for entry-level drafting positions, but although I had a degree, no one would hire me - mostly because of lack of experience and because of the weak economy. With no jobs available in architecture, I went to a temp agency and was offered a data entry position. I couldn’t afford to be picky, so I accepted it. So far, it’s been one of the best companies I’ve ever worked for! The product is great, the company is growing really fast, and it’s a really great working environment with excellent opportunities to advance. I quickly moved from data entry to sales assistant to now accounts receivable assistant.in just six months. I recently received an email from the director of the architecture program stating that he really wants me back in the program and thinks I can succeed, but I really want to keep my job and if I go back to architecture school, I would have to quit my job and be stuck being a starving student again. I spoke with the CEO of the company, he told me that if I wanted stay with the company, that he foresees growing positions in marketing and sales. So, I’ve been thinking about going back to school, but changing my major to Business with a Marketing emphasis to give me a better chance to advance within the company. Plus, I can continue to work while I go to school. I still like architecture, but I don’t know if I like it enough to quit my job and commit to the heavy workload. Also, I’m not as creative as I would like to be, so I question how successful I could really be, in school and professionally. On the other hand, I don’t really know much about Business (Marketing) yet and don’t know if I’ll succeed in that either. Plus there is no guarantee that I’ll be able to move up in the company. Anything could happen in the next few years. What should I do?

I need a reality check. I have 20 years of experience, MBA, and can’t find a job?

Please tell me what you think….brutal reality is fine.

Was just laid off and have full severance until March. (very lucky). The clock is ticking. My wife doesn’t work as she watches our two kids, 8 yrs and 6 mos. Our monthly expenses, including mortgage and utilities/food are about $4200/mo. (two cars…try to get rid of one.)

I have been out of work for just a little over a month and the clock is ticking.

I have an MBA and 20 years marketing/financial services experience primarily in the credit card field. I am 42.

I have been applying for jobs online with no answers. I have been using my network of friends and on LinkedIn to pass on my resume - nothing. I have been following up with HR and hiring managers via email about the positions - nothing. In the past 30 days I have applied to 70 jobs, including government ones.

My last salary was $150K/yr. I have been applying to jobs nationally and even internationally. I’m willing to go down in pay if I have to and have been applying for jobs at significant lower pay. I’ve been applying jobs in my old industry and outside…the new industries want someone with years of experience in that industry at my level.

We have some money saved that would keep us going for another 4 months and then everything is gone. I’d rather not throw that money away to save the house for another 3 months just to watch our credit get killed, our money drained, and the house go into foreclosure anyway. Plan is to sell the house, if it’ll sell, and move in with my 80 year old mother. It’ll be tight, but it’s a roof.

My wife could get a job, but with full unemployment, she’d have to make over 60K/year annualized simply to cover everything. She doesn’t have a degree and probably wouldn’t make enough out of the gate to cover everything.

I’m not whining…these are my challenges. Some people I know were out of work for 3-6 months. Some over a year.

I’m not going to let up…will keep applying for jobs and following up. There’s a little bit of panic in here, I know, but I have to be realistic.

What do you think I should do, if anything, outside what I’m already doing?
PS: spam links will be reported. I’m looking for honest bona fide answers.

Is it still considered spam to send a sales message to a business/individual even if?

They list their email address on a business card, advertisment, etc.? I am a home-based print broker, and I’m looking for inexpensive/free means of marketing, other than having to go out and cold call on businesses (which to me is much more invasive than an email).

I’m thinking of collecting business cards and sending initial sales messages, and on that initial message have a blurb at the bottom offering a “do not email” option.

Also, I thought of going down the phone book and calling businesses, apologizing for the intrusion, but asking for their email address so that I can send them to my website.

Any help from you pros is appreciated!

Is anyone on here an expert resume editor?

I’m thinking that I really need to revamp my resume in order to obtain a job in marketing or business. I am currently switching out of teaching and therefore, want to highlight my skills more than my teaching experience. If you would be willing to provide me with some direction by editing my resume, I’d REALLY appreciate it. Could you please provide me with your email address? I thank you in advance for taking the time to do this. I’m really in need of assistance.
